[Framed]

My friend Zac, who recently got married, asked me for some pictures so that he could frame them and hang them in his living room.  Usually, I would sell my work, but he’s a good friend, so I emailed them to him.  I’m still new to this whole “photography-for-profit” scene; I’m still figuring out the best way to promote myself; I’m still planning on creating an actual website instead of simply a blog.  I’d like to spend more time on stuff like that, but I just don’t ever set it as a high priority.  Maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t have to rely on my photography to bring in the dollars.  Either way, below is one of the three pictures that I sent to Zac.  The other two are already posted in my archives – “I Love You” and “Dynamic Theater”.

I took this picture on the day of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Chicago.  If you want to read more about the tradition of dyeing the Chicago River green, go here.  It was a pretty gloomy, overcast, rainy day, but I got one good picture as a result.  Three handheld shots, Nikon D50, spaced at -1, 0, 1EV, processed with Photomatix Pro.
