The Clark Family | Austin, TX

We had the opportunity to take family pictures for the Clarks earlier in April – Amber, Jonathan, and their little baby girl Lilly.  It was such a joy to get to know them better and enjoy the beautiful Texas afternoon in this field full of bluebonnets.  I’m pretty sure that Lilly won’t remember anything about this photo session, but she had a great time and was completely enthralled by the beautiful blue flowers (even deciding to see what they tasted like at one point).  Spring is here in Texas!  What a beautiful family!

What a blessing to be able to take pictures of this tiny bundle of joy for our first photo session of the year!  When Cora and Will told us back in November that they wanted us to photograph their baby once she was born, we were so excited.  It was a pleasure to meet little Eleanor, and we tried our best to capture her beauty in these images.  I do have to admit that newborn sessions are some of my favorite, especially if the baby is sleeping (which sometimes happens and other times doesn’t).  Will & Cora were so accommodating, and it was great getting to know them better during the session too!

P.S. – my favorite part of the entire shoot can be seen in her “portrait” below (the fifth photo down); you can see my reflection and her mother’s reflection in Eleanor’s big round eyes. So awesome!

All Together Now | Kovacs Family

It’s that time of the year again – stories of angels, shepherds, and a newborn baby, carols, hot chocolate, the smell of pine trees, sparkling lights, presents, and cards in the mail. But what does everyone need to be able to create a good looking Christmas card?  Family pictures, of course!  Especially if they’ve welcomed a new addition into the family since they sent last year’s Christmas card.  Thankfully, I had the opportunity to do two family sessions this holiday season, the first of which was for the Kovacs family.  Their baby girl, Campbell, was born on November 23 – still only about a week old when we took these photos.  So small!  I met Zoli through work, and it has been a real pleasure to get to know him and his family better over the last few years.  A beautiful family and a beautiful private park right near their home make my job really easy!  The opportunity to capture memories, specific moments in time, for friends and family is definitely my favorite thing about photography.
